Some of the children who attended our Vacation Bible School this year.

Once again First United Methodist Church had a fantastic Vacation Bible School.  All the children learned many ways to be of service to their family, friends, neighbors, and community.  They learned about members in our community who serve us all as firefighters, policemen, missionaries, and soldiers.  Here are some pictures from Vacation Bible School this year.  CLICK HERE VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL.

VBS - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP:

On the Sunday following Vacation Bible School, June 22nd, the VBS workers and children who attended VBS led the worship service in the fellowship hall.  Everyone was surprised  when they showed up for church that morning to be directed to the fellowship hall for the Sunday morning service, but I believe no one was disappointed with the program.  The songs, the pledges to the American flag, the Christian flag, and the Bible, as well as the offering, the puppet show, and the VBS video were presented just like at the opening ceremony of Vacation Bible School, and everyone participated gladly.  All the adults enjoyed the program, and everyone enjoyed the special surprise following the program . . . Sunday lunch was prepared and waiting for them following the service.  We all enjoyed the fried chicken, baked beans, corn salad, potato salad, etc., especially since we didn't have to cook!

While everyone was eating and fellowshiping with each other, I gave my camera to our budding photographer, Zach Ferrell, to take some pictures for the website.  Considering that he is only 5 years old, he did a pretty good job.  Here are his pictures.  I hope you enjoy his 5 year old view of the world.

Thanks to everyone who helped with Vacation Bible School.
SPECIAL THANKS goes out to Vicky Rogers, VBS Chairman, for her hard work in directing this year's Vacation Bible School and planning the Sunday morning worship service.
